Water is an essential commodity for one's well-being. The village relies on our financial assistance because of their poverty and thus inability to fund any major project. (69% of rural people are subsistence farmers or unemployed: Government only spends 1.9% of annual budget on rural communities. 17,000 youth leave school annually & only 400 jobs in all of Timor Leste. Renewal of the water supply has allowed their vegetable garden to be reinstated & enlarged.
